Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 5, 2026
1. Introduction
PositionFi ("we", "us", "our") operates the PositionFi protocol and website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service. We are committed to respecting your privacy.
2. Information We Collect
PositionFi is a decentralized protocol. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.
- Wallet Addresses: When you connect your wallet, your public wallet address is visible to the application. Wallet addresses are public blockchain data and are not considered private information.
- On-Chain Activity: All transactions (listings, offers, loans, repayments, refinances) are recorded on the Polygon blockchain and are publicly visible. We index these events to provide the user interface.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymized, aggregate usage data (e.g., page views, feature usage) through standard web analytics to improve the Service. This data does not identify individual users.
- Support Communications: If you contact us at support@positionfi.com, we may retain your email address and message content to respond to your inquiry.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not require account registration, usernames, passwords, or email addresses to use the protocol.
- We do not collect personal identification information (name, address, phone number) through the Service.
- We do not store private keys or seed phrases. Your wallet security is your responsibility.
- We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
4. How We Use Information
Information we collect is used solely for:
- Displaying your positions, listings, offers, and loans in the user interface.
- Indexing on-chain events to provide real-time data and notifications.
- Improving the Service based on aggregate usage patterns.
- Responding to support inquiries.
5. Third-Party Services
The Service may interact with or display data from third-party services:
- Polygon Network: All smart contract interactions occur on the Polygon blockchain.
- Polymarket: We query Polymarket's public APIs to display market data, position values, and live prices. We do not share your data with Polymarket.
- RPC Providers: Blockchain data is fetched through public RPC endpoints. Your wallet address and transaction data may be visible to these providers.
- WalletConnect / RainbowKit: Wallet connection infrastructure may process your public wallet address for connection purposes.
6. Data Storage
On-chain data is stored permanently on the Polygon blockchain. Off-chain indexed data (used for the user interface) is stored in our database and can be re-derived from on-chain events at any time. We do not store sensitive personal data in our database.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical measures to protect the data we store. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. Your wallet security, including private key management, is your sole responsibility.
8. Your Rights
Since we collect minimal personal data, most data rights frameworks have limited applicability. However:
- You can disconnect your wallet at any time to stop the Service from accessing your address.
- On-chain data cannot be deleted due to the immutable nature of blockchain technology.
- You may request deletion of any support communications by emailing us.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
